IMPORTANT: Meeting on Thursday, November 9th
Good morning Sharks!
Please join us on Thursday, November 8th at 7 pm at the Potomac Community Center for an annual meeting of the Eldwick Swim Club.
Here are a few great highlights from this past summer at Eldwick:
*Eldwick Sharks: Our swim team, the Eldwick Sharks, had a strong season and moved up in our division to be the #1 seed. Our Pre-Team and Intermediate Sharks all improved very much. Our Boys Open Relay team went undefeated for the season. In addition, we had many teams qualify for the All Star Relays.
*Cardio Fusion: The Hydro Cardio Fusion Water Class taught by Teresa Shelton was a big hit again and will return in the summer of 2019 with classes on Sunday at 11 AM, and Monday's and Thursday's at 7 PM.
*Pool grounds: We replaced the majority of the fence and the Eldwick Homes Association (EHA) landscaped the tennis court berm.
We and the EHA will also have an exciting announcement at the meeting regarding the NEW playground!
In addition to the playground, we have also received many other ideas including lap swimming (in the morning) and the future for the tennis court area (Renovate? Skating? Exercise area? Dogrun?). This meeting is an opportunity to make your voice be heard...what would you do ?!?
The Eldwick Swim Club is a small, neighborhood pool managed by its members in voluntary service to the broader Eldwick community. Over the years, many of our families and friends have grown up with Eldwick and we look forward to many, many more doing the same. But as a small pool with membership nearly 10% below expected target in 2018, we need community input and support for long term planning. We need your help to continue this long valued tradition!!
