Spaghetti Dinner
Spaghetti Dinner is a time honored Eldwick tradition on the Friday evening before an "A" meet. Swimmers eat pasta together on the picnic tables by the basketball court, while parents get together and have a social hour.
Food and drink for the Spaghetti Dinners is provided by volunteer families. Each spaghetti dinner is sponsored by one age group, although you can be a volunteer family at any time. Please use the signup feature under "Event and Meet Signup" to volunteer. The following items are needed:
- Paste and sauce: 5 families to each bring 3-4 lbs pasta and sauce
- Garlic bread and bread: 4 families to each bring 2 loafs
- Drinks: 4 families to each bring 2 bottles of apple juice, punch, lemonade, or ice tea
- Dessert: 2 families to each bring desserts of their choices
- Bonus dish: 2 families to each bring dishes of their choices, such as meatballs, chicken wings, salads, gluten free entry, fried rice, etc.
For the parents social hour, it is an informal get together. You are encouraged to bring something to share. You are also welcome to enjoy the spaghetti dinner AFTER all hungry Shark swimmers are fed. :-D
